Key Features –
This 24 inch iMac from Apple comes with the M1 Intel chip and continues Apple’s wholesale switch from the traditional “x86” processors used in most PCs to ARM chips of its own design, which are used in smartphones. Huh. Its 4.5K resolution screen is super crisp and too bright for a non-professional monitor. It is so big that you can see two websites on one screen at the same time. Which makes your work easy.
Down behind it is a pastel-colored chin that gets the computer crazy, but doesn’t have the Apple logo next to it. Otherwise, the iMac looks pretty familiar from the front. It’s 11.5mm thick, making it look like a giant iPad Pro perched on a stand. While a headphone socket is on the left edge, the power button, Thunderbolt 3/USB-C port, and power socket are on the back.
With this, you get a keyboard, mouse, and/or trackpad. Comes with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. Only when playing graphically intensive games, such as XCOM 2, do fans notice a short roar from time to time. The 1080p FaceTime HD camera is one of the better built-in webcams and the microphones are great for excellent video calls.
Pros: fantastic screen, top-performance, silent operation, good speakers, good web cam and mics, bold colours, super-slim and compact design, optional Touch ID keyboard, Thunderbolt 3/USB-4.
Cons: no USB-A ports, no SD card reader, screen height not adjustable, storage and RAM not user upgradable.
